I love mushrooms and this is one of the favourites from ma mom's kitchen! Can be made quickly and is really yummy!

- Button Mushrooms (cut into smaller pieces) - 1 cup
- Shallots - 4-5 nos
- Dry red chillies - 2nos (You can add more if you want the dish to be spicy)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coconut oil (preferably)/ Cooking oil - 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - a few
- Salt - for taste
- Grind together shallots and dry red chillies.
- To the mushrooms, add the grounded paste, turmeric powder and the required salt and keep aside for 5 minutes.
- Add some water to this marinated mushrooms and allow it to boil. Cook till the mushrooms are soft.
- In a kadai pour some coconut oil/ cooking oil. Splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Add the cooked masala mushrooms and shallow roast it.
- Yummy Mushroom Ularthiyathu is ready. Tastes best with hot rice or rotis.
